As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I approach therapy with a holistic and collaborative mindset. Choosing therapy may not always feel easy, but I am here to meet you where you are at and walk alongside you with a compassionate, curious, empathetic and non-judgmental approach. My curiosity allows me to step back and view each client holistically to tailor evidence-based treatments to meet their unique circumstances, needs, and goals. My passion is to help people envision possibilities for growth, change and healing at the individual, family, organizational and community levels. Grounded in systems-thinking, I provide direct support to individuals faced with difficult life circumstances and supervise other therapists in their psychotherapy work. I also have experience developing and delivering capacity building strategies for public health and community agencies to enhance organizational development, advocate for and address issues of access to care for vulnerable populations.
I use an attachment framework and integrates therapeutic techniques from post-graduate training in various models (CBT, EFT, MI, Focusing and ACT). I also hold certificates in trauma and anxiety, addictions, grief and bereavement, and is a certified facilitator of MBTI and Prepare-Enrich. I help children, adults, couples and families manage mood disorders, internalizing and externalizing behaviour issues, relationship distress and healing from abuse, trauma, loss and current or past family of origin issues.
